Ladbrokes Corporate Affairs Director Ciaran O’Brien departs for William Hill

Ladbrokes Director of Corporate Affairs’ Ciaran O’Brien has departed the operator to join competitor William Hill, ending his ten year term leading Ladbrokes corporate policy. O’Brien will join William Hill as Director of Corporate Communications.

O’Brien joined Ladbrokes in 1994 from public relations and media communications agency Red Consultancy. He has held a key role in shaping Ladbrokes Plc’s corporate communications and advising on the operator’s public affairs.

Speaking to the RacingPost.com O’Brien commented on his departure from Ladbrokes;

“I’ve had a fantastic ten years at Ladbrokes but William Hill have offered me a great opportunity to lead their communications as the business continues to expand. I’m very much looking forward to working with them. I wish all at Ladbrokes the best and particularly Jim Mullen [new CEO] as he takes the reins. The communications team have all been fantastic to work with and I will certainly miss them.”

David Steele, William Hill’s director of corporate affairs, commented on the appointment of O’Brien;
