Sportradar partners up with NOSP to become official data partner of the Grand Prix of Bowls

bowlsSports data and insights supplier Sportradar has confirmed its new partnership with NOSP (Nigel Oldfield Sports Promotions). NOSP, an event management and consulting company operating in the sports sector, organises the “Grand Prix of Bowls” and is the owner of all rights relating to this competition. The deal with NOSP sees Sportradar become official data partner of the “Grand Prix of Bowls”, securing all audiovisual, data and sponsorship rights to the competition.

The package includes 65 match days during the 2014/2015 season and has started with the live transmission of the first match day on Monday 6th of October. In total, the competition comprises a maximum of 455 hours and 455 matches with up to 17 ends each. The live production of Bowls events will further extend Betradar’s turn-key live betting solutions and opens up a great opportunity to build a new market for the service.

The acquired data and media rights packages will be distributed via Betradar’s Live Channel Online and Live Channel Retail. The online live streaming solution, launched in August 2014 with over 10 clients signed up already, provides sportsbooks with live pictures of international Sporting events complementary to their live betting offering. Live Channel Retail, the streaming channel for betting shop operators combines live sporting events with live odds and live statistics, to compromise all information needed to place a bet on one single screen. The product has recently been upgraded by bet-stimulating pre-match and live statistics, designed in a fresh and TV-optimised look and feel, to increase the turnover potential in betting shops.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to work with Sportradar on the Grand Prix of Bowls and we are certain the new ideas and approach will be welcomed by sports fans, punters and bowlers alike. The sport of bowls offers new ways to enjoy gaming and the improved presentation and initiatives on offer will lead the way for the future of the sport’s development with quick and easy to understand rules and formats of play”, said Nigel Oldfield, Managing Director of NOSP.

Andrew Palmer, Director Sales at Sportradar added: “NOSP are a forward-thinking organisation with an excellent track record in sports promotions. We have the opportunity to introduce a new sport to our portfolio which is a perfect fit for our company’s objectives. We are convinced that we can create exciting new products for our clients around the world and that NOSP can become a valued partner in the future with their ability to deliver content across a range of sports.”
