Betting on Football to provide update on advertising rules

Operators unsure of how the latest changes to point of consumption licensing and taxation regimes in the UK will affect their ability to advertise are advised to get down to Stamford Bridge on 8 May for the latest news.

Yesterday the government added to the uncertainty over the issue by announcing it was re-examining the existing gambling advertising controls via a series of measures involving the Advertising Standards Authority, the Committee of Advertising Practice, the Broadcast Committee of Advertising and the Gambling Commission.

David Clifton, of the Clifton Davies consultancy, is opening the Betting on Football Conference with an update on the latest developments on the new regulations due to come in later this year and what they mean for the betting sector.
