UK sports betting operator William Hill has agreed a deal with US track racing media and broadcasting company – Turf TV broadcast live racing horse and track racing.

Turf TV, the brand name of Amalgamated Racing Limited (AMRAC), is a joint venture between Racecourse Media Services Limited and Timeweave. The channel will provide coverage of US racing from courses such as Gulfstream Park in Miami, Pimlico in Baltimore and Maryland’s Laurel Park from the start of February 2014.

The announcement comes after Turf TV struck a deal with the Stronach Group in the US in June 2013 for a host North American racing rights. Adrian Ford, the managing director of AMRAC, said: “William Hill will shortly be introducing our new service and Turf TV will become William Hill’s exclusive supplier of US racing from February 2014. This means that William Hill betting shop customers will be able to enjoy high-quality, competitive US racing packaged specifically for a UK market throughout the evening, every night of the week.”

William Hill’s director of retail, UK and international, James Henderson, added: “Turf TV worked hard to win our business and we are happy to take more content from them. The presentation of American racing on Turf TV is high quality and our customers will find plenty of great racing to enjoy, particularly through the winter.”
