Betway has hosted its most impactful and effective ‘Safer Gambling Week ‘(#SGWeek2020), driving the cross-industry initiative’s responsible gambling messages across its entire sponsorship portfolio.
Working alongside its principal partners of West Ham United and racing’s All-Weather Championship, Betway ensured that #SGWeek2020 (19-25 November) secured its highest coverage amongst UK sports fans.
On Sunday, #SGWeek2020 branding was displayed on West Ham players training kits during their game at Sheffield United, a match broadcast on the Sky Sports Premier League channel.
Securing maximum exposure to football fans, a target demographic for #SGWeek2020, Betway incorporated safer gambling messages on West Ham’s app and club website.
Additionally the bookmaker leveraged its ample racing sponsorship roster to promote #SGWeek2020, renaming nine sponsored races to ‘Betway supporting Safer Gambling Week’ during the campaign’s period. The total making them the biggest contributor of race titles to the cause for the fourth year running.
