Following its weekend triumph at the 2018 Baftas, Ladbrokes Entertainment has placed Martin McDonagh’s ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ as the market even-money favourite to win the Best Picture category at the 90th Academy Awards (4 March).

Entering the final weeks of ‘Oscars campaigning’, Ladbrokes details that the Best Picture category will be closely contested by‘Three Billboards’ and Guillermo del Toro’s ‘The Shape of Water’ (6/4 Ladbrokes).

Updating its Oscars 2018 market, Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes Entertainment said: “The Best Picture market at the Oscars is an incredibly tight two-horse race, but after its Bafta win, we’re inclined to think Three Billboards will land the big one on 4 March”.

Ladbrokes Entertainment is certain that Gary Oldman will win his long-overdue Oscars, for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in the ‘Darkest Hour’, pricing the London thespian at a very short 20/1.

Ladbrokes further anticipates a big night for ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ as Frances McDormand is the clear 1/10 favourite to take home the Best Actress award, ahead of Lady Bird’s Saoirse Ronan at 8/1.
