Updating the market, industry platform and white label services provider Bede Gaming (Bede) has informed that it has been awarded the ‘ISO 27001′ certification by the International Standards Organisation (ISO).
The certification recognises outstanding technology and software provisions in relation to security and data standards following a full audit undertaken by the ISO body.
The platform provider gained the certification after proving that it meets the ISO’s strict requirements when dealing with information security. As one of the only gaming platform providers to be awarded such certification, it confirms Bede’s security status is of the highest order.
Bede management stated that the firm is full capable of meeting new standards which will come into play, following the passing of the General Data Protection Regulation, which places a greater level of accountability on data processors on issues such as information security breaches.
Commenting on the update Michael Brady, CEO of Bede Gaming, said “Gaining this certification isn’t an easy process and requires a huge amount of focus from all aspects of our business.
“Operators today want flexibility in their platform, but they are also demanding peace of mind via the highest possible levels of security and this shows that we are leading the way when it comes to providing a credible, secure and trustworthy alternative.
“An information security breach would have a catastrophic impact for any operator which is unprepared. This certification carries a validated independent view that Bede are taking the right measures to prevent this from happening, giving our partners confidence that they are in safe hands.”
