Gamesys – Noel Hayden steps down as Lee Fenton takes over as CEO

Following its + £420 million acquisition by Canada’s Intertain Group, igaming operator Gamesys has undertaken an executive team restructure which will see Founder and CEO Noel Hayden become Executive Chairman of Gamesys Group.

Gamesys’ CEO position will be filled by Chief Operating Officer (COO) Lee Fenton with immediate effect. The COO positon is set to be filled by Director of Gaming Operations Robeson Reeves

The executive team restructures had been confirmed to staff members last week, following the operators Annual General Meeting.

The changes to Gamesys’ executive team will have no impact on the relationship between the operator and its new owner Intertain Group.

Hayden who founded Gamesys in 2001, is set to join the Intertain Group broad following the operators April £420 million acquisition. Gamesys will form part of acquired Intertain Group brand and business services which include Costa Bingo, InterCasino, Vera&John.

Hayden addressed his departure to staff through a personal email, stating it was the right time to execute executive restructures following the company’s acquisition
