Interwetten partners with OKTO to offer cash-to-digital payments

German igaming operator Interwetten has partnered with payment service provider OKTO to integrate the latter’s cash-to-digital payment solution.

Following the integration of the OKTO.CASH solution within Germany’s gambling sector, further rollouts will soon be announced across the wider European region.

Customers using Interwetten’s services will now be able to make deposits into their igaming accounts using cash by leveraging OKTO’s partnership network of more than 14,000 retail locations across Germany, such as Avia, Esso, Lotto, OMV, Shell, and more.

Rene Hartl, Head of Payment Operations at Interwetten, said: “Our collaboration with OKTO highlights our commitment to providing innovative, user-friendly payment solutions. With OKTO.CASH, our players can easily deposit cash into their Interwetten accounts from familiar locations, giving them unprecedented convenience and flexibility.”

Expanding more on the ability to convert physical cash into digital funds through the top-up service of OKTO.CASH, Mikhail Ovsepyan, Head of Germany at OKTO, added: “We’re glad to partner with Interwetten for the launch of OKTO.CASH in Germany.

“This partnership underscores our dedication to expanding across the region and beyond, while delivering cutting-edge payment solutions that meet the needs of iGaming fans. Our goal is to transform the gaming payment experience with unmatched convenience and security.”

However, German sports fans who want to place a bet on local amateur football matches will not be able to utilise the latest OKTO.CASH tool, as Interwetten recently announced that it is taking down all related events from its platform.
