Scout maintains Jönsson as CEO to oversee business transformation

The board of Scout Gaming Group has notified investors that acting CEO Niklas Jönsson has agreed to take on the full leadership responsibilities of the Nasdaq Nordic daily fantasy sports group.

Jönsson has served as Scout Gaming’s acting CEO since June 2022 following the resignation of Andreas Ternström.

Scout Gaming is currently undertaking a strategic reorganisation of its business strategy to focus on earnings-effective B2B accounts, in which it has reduced its portfolio to 13 key clients.

Publishing its full-year accounts in February, SGG announced that it had narrowed operating losses to €5.5m, reflecting a 27% reduction on 2021 corporate losses of €7.4m

In a further announcement, SGG’s board confirmed the promotion of Andreas Olsen, the firm’s current Head of Finance, to the role of Group CFO with immediate effect.

Olsen joined Scout in July 2022 having previously been a revisor at EY and an auditor at Revisjonsselskapet.

The board of Scout Gaming continues to prioritise group-wide cost-saving measures, in which the company reduced its corporate headcount from 130-to-68 staff in 2022.
