FDJ hits €100m landmark for French heritage programme

Groupe FDJ has raised more than €100 million to help restore French heritage and cultural landmarks through its headline ‘Mission Patrimoine’ (‘Heritage Mission’) fundraising programme.

‘Mission Patrimoine’ was launched in 2018, allowing patrons of Française des Jeux’s retail network to sell exclusive instant games to raise direct funds for French cultural restoration programmes.

Selling ‘Patrimoine Games’, FDJ disclosed that during 2021 it’s retail patrons had raised €28 million for French heritage sites, helping directly restore 17 cultural landmarks.

Supported by France’s Ministry of Culture, Mission Patrimoine fundraising and restorations projects have been led by Stéphane Bern a recipient of the French Republic’s Ordre National du Mérite for arts.

Recognised as one of FDJ’s most important social initiatives, to date Mission Patrimoine has restored 648 landmarks, including 165 historic buildings, whilst a further 207 sites/buildings are in the process of being restored.

FDJ Group CEO Stéphane Pallez commented on Patrimoine achievements: “We are very proud to have collected, in four years, more than 100 million euros for the benefit of endangered heritage, including more than 28 million euros for the 2021 edition.”

“This shows the mobilization of the French to support the restoration of all heritage in all territories. FDJ is fully committed over the long term to this national cause with a specific games offer and also sponsorship actions and integration projects supported by its Corporate Foundation.”
