Issuing a market update, Stockholm-listed Betsson AB has confirmed the appointment of Martin Öhman as inbound Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), joining Betsson leadership on 1 September 2019.
The appointment sees Betsson governance end its six-month executive search for a new corporate financial lead, following the departure of former CFO incumbent Kaaren Hilsen, who returned to Telenor Sweden last September.
Betsson governance details that in Öhman, it has appointed a seasoned corporate finance executive, with vast experience in leading large scale auditing frameworks and M&A strategies.
Öhman joins Betsson’s executive team, from leading Scandinavian automotive retailer Upplands Motors AB, where he has served as CFO since 2016.
Adding to Ohman’s experience, the executive has acted as Finance Director for global meditech’s Handicare Group and Bactiguard.
Öhman, will lead Betsson’s finance and auditing capacities, as Betsson enters year-2 of its corporate recovery programme, focusing on delivering group-wide efficiencies and enhancing its product portfolio.
“Martin’s broad financial and management experience and his M&A experiences are valuable assets for Betsson“, says Pontus Lindwall, CEO and President of Betsson AB
