Industry software and platform developer Bede Gaming has moved to restructure its senior management team, confirming the promotion of Alex Butcher as new Managing Director.
The change in corporate leadership comes as Bede enterprise founders Michael Brady and Dan Smyth are set to take strategic and governance leading roles within the firm’s organisation.
Butcher has served as Bede’s Chief Technical Officer (CTO) since 2012, delivering on key projects and platform initiatives for the independent technology group.
Updating investors Michael Brady, Founder of Bede, said, “We’re absolutely delighted that Alex has accepted this position. His laser-like focus and experience in the industry make him the ideal person for the role. We are confident that he will lead Bede into its next stage of growth with clarity and integrity. We are looking forward to working closely with him to ensure Bede’s global transformation.”
Brady and governance stated that Butcher would bring new dynamics to Bede’s day-to-day management, prioritising software development, responsible gaming and sustainable technology values.
Taking over Bede leadership Alex Butcher commented: “Bede’s initial growth phase, where we built the team into a 160 strong workforce and conducted the largest migration in the history of the industry, has provided a firm foundation for growth. Our products and team are tried and tested, forging great potential for expansion into new markets. My primary concern will be to ensure we preserve the fantastic culture that lies at the heart of what makes Bede unique.”
