Oddslife has teamed up with Belgian operator betFIRST to launch a last man standing social betting game ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
BetSurvivor has been produced by Oddslife, the tech company behind the recently launched SportKenya, to find the sharpest predictor at this summer’s tournament.
This new venture will help to establish another network for betFIRST, part of the largest media group in Belgium, as the operator targets new ways to acquire and monetise its media traffic.
The aim is to stay in the game by predicting the result of every match, starting with Russia’s Group A opener against Saudi Arabia in Moscow on 14 June. The winner for each 16-match round is the player that gets the furthest.
Throughout each round, there will also be opportunities to earn ‘survival kits’ to stay in the hunt for a €2000 prize, while the overall winner, the player with the most amount of correct predictions across the 64-match tournament, will take home the equivalent of a year’s salary.
Post World Cup, the deal will continue through the 18/19 football season and offer the users a way to predict on football matches from top European leagues.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder of Oddslife, commented: “It is a real coup for Oddslife to work with such a respected operator, and one that forms a key part of the largest media group in Belgium. This follows the SportKenya launch as another example of our strategy to launch engaging and rewarding social-based betting products in high-growth markets.
Alexis Murphy, CEO of betFIRST, added: “Using our influence across Belgium, we are confident that BetSurvivor will quickly become an established brand. It will help us to engage and entertain our traffic and convert new players to the betFIRST platform.”
Oddslife Group Business Director David Knight will be speaking about the potential of the Oddslife platform at the Betting on Sports Conference on 18-21 September at Olympia London.
He will be speaking on a panel on the Innovation & Technology Track, entitled Gamify my sportsbook and will be joined on the panel by Alex Kahn, CMO of BetBright and George Athanasopoulos, COO at Novibet.
