Ruhm Bayern…Tipico renews betting partnership with FC Bayern Munich

German language online bookmaker Tipico Sportwetten (Tipico) has extended its betting partnership with Bundesliga Champions FC Bayern Munich until the end of season 2020/21.

Updating the market, the CVC Capital Partners owned bookmaker stated that it was pleased to renew its biggest and most successful partnership with ‘Die Bayern’ (Bayern Munich nickname).

In 2015 Tipico marketing announced that it had secured a Bayern Munich ‘Platinum Partnership’, becoming the football club’s official betting partner. Tipico views its relationship with Bayern Munich a key part of its marketing and brand strategy, as the firm targets further growth in German-speaking European markets.

Although sponsorship terms werel not disclosed by participating parties, German media has reported the Bavarian football club will receive circa €5 million per season for its partnership.

“As market leader in Germany, we feel very comfortable with the FC Bayern,” Tipico chief commercial officer Marlon van der Goes stated   “The cooperation is very successful for both partners, the premature renewal of the contract confirms this. We look forward to the next four years with Bayern Munich and its fans.”
