Rank Group appoints Leon Thomas as Online Bingo lead

Rank Group (Rank) has confirmed the appointment of Leon Thomas as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its digital bingo division.

Thomas joins Rank operations, having previously served as Managing Director of NYX Gaming Group – US Operations in Las Vegas. An online bingo veteran, Thomas has further served as MD of Sunderland based online bingo operator Tombola.co.uk.

Announcing the appointment, Rank governance detailed that Thomas will be charged with leading the performance and growth of all the operator’s digital bingo brands for the UK and Europe.

Commenting on the appointment, Henry Birch, CEO for The Rank Group Plc, said, “I am delighted that Leon will be joining the team. Rank is already one of the industry leaders in digital bingo, and with Leon’s wealth of experience in, I am confident that he will help us to take our digital based bingo, in the UK and internationally, to the next level, giving our customers a seamless multi-channel experience.

Thomas will joins Rank operations today, and will report to Mecca Bingo Managing Director Martin Pugh.
