Fantasy football platform Mondogoal has announced that it has partnered with Intralot as it launches a new Italian facing site.
The daily fantasy sports provider includes real money and free play options, and will include the same for its Italian market product. CEO Shergul Arshad said of the news: “Italian users will now have an enhanced gaming experience similar to our users in the UK and the United States.”
He added: “Intralot is the first of our deals with online sports betting sites overseas. Unlike others who talk about integration, we have been heads down executing on this integration. As a Serie A fan and fan of Fantasy Soccer for 25 years, I hope many legions of fantasy soccer fans in Italy can now share in the vision and play (for) fun and for cash.”
Mondogoal already has a partnership with Serie A side Roma, as well as Valencia and Barcelona in La Liga and three Premier League clubs; Spurs, West Ham and Chelsea.
Its daily fantasy football product has one of the most expansive offerings with players able to pick from numerous top European leagues, the MLS and the Brasileirao amongst others.
Based in Boston, Mondogoal has avoided much of the ongoing controversy surrounding the legality of DFS companies in the US as it focuses on markets outside the USA. Arshad has stated that over 80% of the company’s revenues come from Europe.
