Dr Jose Herrera,

The seventh Malta iGaming Seminar (MiGS) was launched in the presence of Dr Jose Herrera, Parliamentary Secretary of Competitiveness and Economic Growth, and Joseph Cuschieri, chairman of the Malta Gaming Authority, at the Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort. It will be held at the Corinthia Hotel, St Julian’s between November 16 and 19.

MiGS director Jeffrey Buttigieg, who is also COO of Re/Max Malta, thanked all those who supported the event.

Themed ‘Past, present and Future of eGaming’, one of the highlights this year is a panel of four remarkable pioneers of the industry who have a combined experience of over 100 years.

The event will also expound on a number of ensuing topics, including the latest EU directives, emerging jurisdictions, payments, advocacy, as well as subjects of potential growth, including mobile gaming and eSports.

MiGS will also be introducing a ‘Fishbowl conversations’ concept that entices delegates to get closer to the speakers, ask questions and become moderators, providing a new dimension of interactivity.

Mr Cuschieri said he was honoured to launch an event the authority had supported from its humble beginnings and congratulated the organisers. Dr Herrera said the event was an important entrepreneurial initiative by the private sector and did us proud.
