Eurobet hires Alfredo Melloni as Head of iGaming

Italian sports betting operator Eurobet has confirmed the appointment of Alfredo Melloni as its new Head of iGaming.

Melloni joins the Gala Coral European subsidiary from Paddy Power where he served as Italian iGaming Product manager since 2012. He takes over igaming managerial responsibilities from Marco Trucco who departed the operator to join PokerStars as Head of Italy.

Melloni will be charged with leading Eurobet igaming services strategy and performance as the operator looks to extend its igaming portfolio in Italy. He will report directly to Eurobet Digital Director Paolo Bazzocchi, and will be based out of head offices in Rome.

Prior to working for Paddy Power Melloni was an IT specialist for the digital arm of Italian gambling operator Cogetech Spa.

Eurobet announced that Melloni had joined its team on 26 March, the operator described its new appointment as a much needed hire with a deep understanding and knowledge of the Italian igaming market.
