SBC: How did you first get into sports betting ?

I started this activity when a bookmaker office opened in the shopping mall near my home. It was like a game at the beginning. Like all beginners I started with a small amount of money and a lot of events on one sheet. I faced debutante success and started to think that everything was going to be very easy in this field from then on. Of course, it wasn’t like that.

SBC: At what point did you realize that you can make some real money from sports betting?

It took some time. I was interested in sports, especially in basketball from my childhood and betting was like a part of this free time activity.  Over time I gained more experience, and started to realize how this business works. Of course, I faced some tough times – a few times I burned my entire bank. But I didn’t give up, took it like a lesson and learned how to manage my bank properly. Reasonable and correct management of my bank started to give some real benefits and probably at this point I started to think that I could make a living from betting.

SBC: How did you come to select basketball as your chosen sport?

I didn’t have many alternatives. My dad was seriously interested in basketball, we watched games together, I played basketball at school and with friends. Basketball is the most popular sport in my country – like no other. Actually, I was surrounded by basketball all my life.

SBC: Are there any particular events that you look forward to throughout the year?

I look forward mostly to the Olympic Games, the World and European Championships. These tournaments are of the highest quality and very interesting with the world’s most famous players.

SBC: What was your best ever bet?

I do not remember the exact one. I think the biggest one was with odds of 10-12. Not a very high one ☺ .

SBC: What kind of factors do you evaluate before making a selection?

I think that every tipster has his own formula for success. I do my homework every day and I focus a lot on win-lose series.

SBC: What has been the biggest influence on your betting career?

The negative attitude from my surroundings. It sounds strange, but that negative attitude inspired me to show others that they were wrong about me and my occupation. I wanted to show them that watching and analyzing games isn’t a waste of time. I didn’t get any support from my family in the beginning; they wanted to change my activity. But I stood firm and kept doing what I am most passionate about. And it paid off!

SBC: How do you balance your betting time and family life?

Surely, it depends a lot on the family approach. As I mentioned before, in the very beginning of my career, my family thought that I was wasting my time without reason. I didn’t give up and now they see how I am doing and feel calm about it. Betting is my full time job, my office is anywhere where I can use the internet and matchbook. I travel a lot due to watching as many live matches as possible and I am very grateful to my wife that she understands me and gives as much support as she can. For her it is not so easy, because our schedule depends on the basketball season and sometimes she has to sacrifice a lot.  But I would like to thank her once again for being so supportive and loving.

SBC: Do you have a favourite team that you follow regularly?

Of course, I have my favourite team. I started my way in this business with Zalgiris Kaunas and this has been my favourite team until now and I strongly believe that this team is not going to change.

SBC: How do you keep calm when you hit a run of losing bets?

I try not to think about the losses and concentrate on the future. I truly understand that it is impossible not to face any losses and in my opinion, betting is a long term strategy, not a short one-day success

SBC: How do you organize your bank management?

I have tried a lot of different strategies with regards to my bank management. The most suitable strategy for me is this one – I bet the same amount on every stake independently from the odds and I never place a bigger amount than 3% of my entire bank on related events

SBC: What is the best reason you could give to anyone who was thinking about following your service?

The reason could be this – I am seriously interested in and fully understand basketball, I do my homework and I have gained experience in this field over a long period.
