Football holds sway on bettingexpert despite domestic break

The Confederations Cup final between Chile and Germany came out as July’s top match on bettingexpert, in a month dominated by football despite the absence of domestic league action.

Surprisingly, the Champions League qualifier between Rijeka and TNS took second spot behind the final in Russia, ahead of the competition’s third place play-off between Portugal and Mexico.

Unibet was the only bookmaker in the top three for tips made on each of the top three games (see below), with bet365, Interwetten, BetVictor and 188BET the others to make these exclusive lists.

Meanwhile, Matchbook was the most popular bookmaker for the top tennis match in July on bettingexpert, featuring two top 50 players in Yuichi Sugita and Adrian Mannarino.

Milos Raonic against Alexander Zverev was the only other top ten representative for tennis, which came in a distant second in terms of tips per sport with 22% against the 69% for football. Baseball (7%), basketball (1%) and MMA (0.02%) were the other sports to make the top five.

Better Collective, the operator for tipster network bettingexpert, will be represented at next month’s Betting on Sports conference (12-15 September). CEO Jesper Soegaard will be speaking on ‘Super Affiliates’, and how the affiliate sector has become a primary gatekeeper for operators seeking new business.
