SGCMANXManx Telecom is one of the sponsors of igamingbusiness.com’s Social Gambling Conference in London on November 6 and 7. With the social gaming market being increasingly dominated by gambling-style games this segment of the eGaming sector is growing rapidly, and it is predicted to increase from $1.7 billion today to $2.5 billion by 2015. The conference will be attended by major gaming brands, investors, and hosting providers including Manx Telecom. Presentations and discussions at the event will focus on where social gaming and social gambling are heading.

Fergal McKenna, Manx Telecom Sales Director, commented:

“The Social Gambling Conference is a focal point for leading businesses in the sector, and as such it’s essential for Manx Telecom to have a strong presence. In addition to being a sponsor of the conference, it is also a perfect arena for us to showcase our Intelligent Analytics powered by Idiro product which is a must have solution for businesses and has massive potential in the big data market. Manx Telecom already has high profile clients in the social gaming space – Bonobo plc who operate lottorace.com and Vivant Ltd who operate jaro.com – but there is massive potential for the social gaming sector to expand in the next few years and we aim to be at the forefront of this expansion as a leading hosting provider.”

Idiro Technologies have developed SNA Plus which is an analytical platform based on the principles of Social Network Analysis (SNA). It can help businesses analyse ‘big data’ and produce useful statistics which can – for example – then be used to help with the retention and acquisition of customers. Combined with Manx Telecom’s hosting and telecoms expertise this type of big data analysis has the potential to be applied across a wide range of sectors including retail, banking, utilities, airlines, healthcare and insurance.

Manx Telecom will be represented at the conference by Account Manager John Dunne, andBrian Sullivan from Idiro Technologies. Speakers at the conference will include representatives from many other leading businesses in the eGaming sector including Plumbee, Probability Plc, and Williams Interactive, and analysts such as Morgan Stanley.

This will be iGaming Business’ second annual Social Gambling Conference with this year’s event extended to run over two days at Dexter House in London. It will bring together industry experts in a series of presentations, panels and in-depth discussions to discuss various hot topics in the social gambling space. Topics will include opportunities for growth in the sector, and debates on the potential risks posed, social responsibility, and possible regulation.
