hillsWith the recent announcement of financial results for the first half of 2013, Igaming operator William Hill announced to investors and the stock market of its interest in growing its brand and business in the Australian igaming and betting market.

Today rumors that senior members of William Hill Staff have been made aware of a potential deal to purchase Australian sports betting operator – Tom Waterhouse. The Australia Herald reports that William Hill are prepared to bid  $150 (AUS) million for the Australian bookmaker, with the view to converge the Tom Waterhouse brand under the relaunch of ‘William Hill Australia’

Tom Waterhouse, owned by Australian sports and betting personality Tom Waterhouse have been seeking to sell off its online sports betting business. Earlier this 2013 Tom Waterhouse had been in negotiation with UK igaming operator Ladbrokes regarding a possible sale.

William Hill has  strengthen its position and focus  in the Australian igaming market. The operator paid £459m for Sportingbet Australia and £424m to buy back a 29pc stake in its online business from Playtech PLC.The company is set to relaunch its Australian focused brand ‘William Hill Australia’ through the acquisition of Sporting Bet gaming services.,
