Sportech Americas has confirmed that COO David Schreff has left his position as Americas COO to set up his own sports entertainment franchise. Appointed in December 2012 to oversee the companies operations in North and Latin America. Schreff has left Sportech to join Connecticut-based Bedare Sports & Entertainment where he will serve as president and co-founder.
Sportech has increase its operations targeting the region, currently employing over 700 staff members in its head office and operation center in Connecticut, Atlanta, New Jersey and California. Schreff’s appointment was conducted by current Sportech CEO Ian Penrose and heralded the hire as adding further weight” to Sportech’s senior management team.
David Schreff has worked in the sports media and entertainment for more than 30 years, having held a number of management roles in leading organizations including the National Basketball Association (NBA), Walt Disney, Marvel Entertainment and Viacom.
Sportech has yet to announce a replacement
