Allwyn appoints Ifor Evans as new Technology Officer

Allwyn International has confirmed the appointment of Ifor Evans as the new Group Chief Technology Officer of the global lotteries conglomerate.

Evans will take on the role of Group CTO from 1 June 2024, joining Allwyn’s executive team from Bally’s Corp, where he previously served as Technology Officer overseeing the development of the technology strategy and IT roadmap of the US gambling group.

An expert in that management of gambling technology systems, Evans brings over 25 years of experience in IT management, project leadership, and software engineering.

SBC News Allwyn appoints Ifor Evans as new Technology OfficerHe will replace Tony Khatskevich as CTO, who has chosen to serve as an corporate advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors.

Evans will start on 1 June, bringing expertise from his previous role as Group Chief Technology Officer at Bally’s Corp, where he worked since 2019. He also led a team of 400 at Lazada Group earlier in his career.

Evans expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am delighted to join Allwyn as Group Chief Technology Officer. The company’s commitment to social impact is clear worldwide. I look forward to developing better lotteries and new game formats with cutting-edge technology and forward-thinking.”

Allwyn recently took over the UK National Lottery from Camelot in February and announced provisional financial figures, with Q1 2024 revenue expected to reach €2bn ($2.17bn) and €2.05bn.

Robert Chvátal, Allwyn Group CEO, welcomed Ifor, stating, “We are excited to have Ifor as our new Group Chief Technology Officer to enhance our lottery innovations. Allwyn aims to make its lotteries more entertaining and attractive to new audiences, having a greater positive impact on society.”

Chvátal also thanked Tony for his exceptional contribution and commitment to Allwyn over the past six years.
