UK-focused bookmaker DragonBet has entered into a technology agreement with BVGroup, migrating its online sportsbook and casino operations onto the BV:360 platform.

DragonBet, which will retain its independence and identity despite the deal, is set to leverage BVGroup’s sportsbook, casino, player account management, payments and compliance capabilities.

The firm becomes the latest addition to the BVGroup portfolio, which includes flagship brand BetVictor, alongside Parimatch UK, Betano UK and talkSPORT BET, among others.

DragonBet continues scaling in UK and Ireland

It follows the company’s venture into Ireland at the beginning of 2026. The operator was granted a Remote Bookmaker’s Licence in January – just months before huge regulatory change in the jurisdiction, with the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) now overseeing the sector

The business has embarked on somewhat of a marketing spree in recent months as it tries to expand its audience despite the increase in Remote Gaming Duty (RGD) from 21% to 40% and pending General Betting Duty (GBD) rise from 15% to 25%.

A back-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Cardiff City in 2025 preceded a major long-term agreement to sponsor Cardiff Rugby this season

The company has now incorporated its official charity partner, Tŷ Hafan, into the Cardiff City deal

DragonBet has established itself as a fast-growing bookmaker while sticking to its Welsh focus since its online launch in 2022.

“This is a landmark agreement for DragonBet and an important investment in the long-term future of our business,” said David Lovell, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the business.

“We have ambitious plans for the next stage of our growth and recognised that achieving those ambitions requires continued investment in the technology and infrastructure that sits behind DragonBet. After an extensive evaluation process, we believe BVGroup provides the platform, capability and long-term roadmap to support those ambitions.

“Just as importantly, this partnership allows DragonBet to remain DragonBet. We retain the independence, identity and entrepreneurial approach that have driven our growth to date, while investing in a platform that gives us the foundations to scale for many years to come.”

The migration onto the BV:360 platform is planned for Q1 2027.
