Flutter UKI merges commercial C-suite with new CCO

Flutter UKI has announced Ben Reilly as the new Chief Commercial Officer to manage the company’s UK and Ireland brands.

An internal hire, Reilly will oversee Flutter’s ambitions to boost its competitive advantage across these two key markets. He will report directly to Kevin Harrington, CEO of Flutter UKI.

Reilly commented: “We have very ambitious plans in the UK and Ireland, and there is huge potential across the Flutter business as AI transforms how we work, develop and innovate.

“I’m incredibly proud to be taking on this position and look forward to building on our unrivalled position in this market.”

Reilly carries an expansive senior leadership experience from his previous roles, which include Chief Product Officer of Flutter UKI, Managing Director of Tombola, as well Head of Sportsbook at Paddy Power, of which he’s been a part of since 2010.

Harrington added: “Flutter UKI is a brilliant business with iconic brands, and now is the perfect time to focus on the next phase in our growth cycle.

“Like other operators in this market, we face the challenge of rising costs, regulatory pressure and increasing competition, but I truly believe we are uniquely placed to take this challenge head on.

“I’m very pleased that Ben will be taking on this role and convinced that under him our brands will thrive long into the future.”

Reilly’s new venture is part of a wider Flutter UKI restructuring campaign to simplify operations, consolidating both the UK and Ireland brand under a unified leadership for streamlined management.

This means that current Sky Bet CCO Steve Birch and David Newton, CCO of Paddy Power, will depart later this year – something unrelated to the recently impacted 220 roles at Flutter UKI.

Harrington added: “I want to thank Steve and David for the tremendous contribution they have made to Flutter over their time in the business.”

A new role of Chief Operating Officer is also being created to support Reilly in his new endeavour, with Dom Crosthwaite, current Head of Sportsbook Product and Trading, set to take on the duties.
