Flutter has joined in on the support efforts to aid Los Angeles towards recovery after devastating fires ravaged through the City of Angels.
Through its biggest brand and US-facing online sports betting platform, FanDuel, Flutter will set aside $250,000 as a donation package for non-profit charity Americares and the LA Fire Department Foundation.
The money will serve as a wildfire relief fund to help communities impacted by the natural disaster across the greater LA area, allowing the Americares Foundation to address the urgent health needs of those affected and unlocking vital equipment for the LA Fire Department Foundation.
Amy Howe, FanDuel CEO, commented: “FanDuel and Flutter have been proud members of the Los Angeles business community for over two decades. We are heartbroken by the devastating loss these wildfires have created in a community we call home.
“We are committed to ensuring our employees are safe and making sure the community has the resources it needs to support the heroic efforts of our first responders.”
Both Flutter and FanDuel have been a part of the Los Angeles business community for more than two decades now. For one, Flutter’s FanDuel TV – previously called TVG – is operating out of Culver City. There are also around 400 employed staff members who work and live in Los Angeles.
