Betsson grows Greek presence with OFI Crete sponsorship

Betsson has officially entered Greek top-flight football by signing a partnership with OFI Crete FC

The sponsorship deal will see Betsson continue its support within Greece’s football scene, specifically developing the sport in Crete.

Thanos Marinos, Managing Director of Betsson Greece, said: “We are excited to embark on this journey with OFI Crete FC As we’ve done in other sponsorships, our commitment goes beyond financial support; we aim to engage with the community and support the team in achieving their goals.

“This partnership represents a new chapter for Betsson in Greek football, and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration.”

So far Betsson has managed to grow its sponsorship portfolio with various sports since its arrival in Greece in 2021, boasting deals with Rally Acropolis and the Cycling Tour of Greece. The company will also sponsor the Betsson Greek Cup for the next three years.

Michalis Bousis, President of OFI Crete FC, added: “Securing a sponsorship with Betsson, an international brand, is a significant achievement and a great honour for our club.

“This three-year partnership is particularly meaningful as it coincides with our upcoming 100th anniversary celebration next year.

“Having Betsson’s support is invaluable, and I am confident that together, we will achieve many great things, furthering the legacy of our beloved team.”
