Swedish state-owned operator Svenska Spel has launched its sportsbook platform in collaboration with Kambi Group.
Both companies have been working towards the implementation of the combined offering since the deal was first signed in October 2023.
Erik Lögdberg, Managing Director of Kambi, commented: “We are very pleased with our launch together with Svenska Spel Sport & Casino, one of the most well-known brands in Sweden in games and entertainment.
“As a starting point for a strong partnership, I am happy that together we succeeded in this as planned before the EC and we look forward to supporting Svenska Spel Sport & Casino’s long-term ambitions.”
Svenska Spel will leverage Nasdaq-listed Kambi’s technology and proprietary risk management infrastructure to offer customers a more competitive range of sports odds and a more robust functionality, complemented by a ‘complete gaming experience’.
Jonas Nygren, Product Manager of Svenska Spel Sport & Casino, added: “It feels good to be able to offer our customers a new competitive sports book. Customers get an extended gaming experience together with a wider range of both markets and services under our Oddset brand. And being live just in time for the summer’s big football party feels extra good.”
The new sportsbook offering will most likely be available to an online-only audience, as Svenska Spel’s last remaining land-based asset Casino Cosmopol is being considered for a closure due to failing financial performance.
