SkyBet introduces bets on OKTAGON MMA to “exemplify” UK growth

SkyBet has announced that it is now taking bets on OKTAGON MMA for UK customers.

Although fans can already bet on the European MMA promotion in the UK through bookmaker William Hill, the move on SkyBet opens up the market even further for fans to get involved with the action.

Pavol Neruda, OKTAGON MMA Co-Owner, expressed that are really pleased that our fanbase in the UK and Ireland can now engage even further with OKTAGON MMA.

“SkyBet is an extremely well-respected platform, and this exemplifies the growth of OKTAGON MMA in the UK and Ireland, a market where we have dedicated significant effort to expand, and shine a light on up-and-coming MMA talent.”

OKTAGON has made significant strides to get more involved with its ever-growing UK fanbase, with the first ever show on these shores in November 2023 at the AO Arena in Manchester.

The sport also returned twice this year; the first coming at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle in January, before a night at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham in April.

Fans in the UK can place their first bet via SkyBet for the next OKTAGON tournament, when the organisation lands in Prague at the Fortuna Arena for OKTAGON 58 for the rematch between Karlos Vemola and Attila Vegh.

Insider Sport interviewed Neruda last year regarding the promotion’s intentions to broaden its presence in the region.

At the time, Neruda stated: “Our goal is to establish ourselves as the premier domestic show in the UK and Ireland for the coming year. That’s why we’ve secured venues for additional shows in 2024.”

This interview also followed a deal between OKTAGON and Channel 4, in which Neruda claimed the deal would help the OKTAGON achieve its overarching goal of becoming “the home of MMA in the UK”.
