West Brom have bolstered their survival chances with a host of shrewd summer signings and sponsorship deals ahead of the upcoming 2014/15 Premier League season. Online sportsbook providers 666Bet and bet365 have been unveiled as premium club partners.
The Baggies, who finished one place above the relegation zone in May, announced the partnerships on their official website. 666Bet has been welcomed as the club’s platinum Asian gaming partner. Head of Corporate Sales Iain Wain commented:
“The signing of 666Bet is a particularly pleasing one as they have chosen us as their first Premier League partner.
“We are looking forward to a long relationship with this exciting brand.”Albion also secured an agreement with bet365, which will see the UK based operator gain extensive coverage and exclusivity for Europe and the United Kingdom until the end of the 2015/16 league campaign.
Wain added: “Gaining one of the best operators in the field is a coup for the club and is a further indication of the benefits of again retaining our position in the Premier League.”
WBA have also been active in the transfer market, penning the services of Sunderland’s Craig Gardner, Manchester City’s Joleon Lescott, and Burnley’s Chris Baird. They also bought Sebastien Pocognoli from German club Hannover 96 for an undisclosed fee.
