Online sportsbook and entertainment operator 188BET has extended its betting partnership with Liverpool Football Club until the end of the 2015/16 season.
Commenting on the company’s affiliation with the Reds, Managing Director Nigel Singer, said: “Liverpool FC is one of the world’s most famous and historic football clubs and we are thrilled to be announcing our renewal off the back of one of their most successful seasons in recent times. We look forward to building on our excellent relationship with the Club and its betting fans.”
188BET will drive LFC platforms to offer fans in Brazil and Asia, the club’s biggest fan bases, promotions and gaming prices on LFC fixtures.
Chief Commercial Officer at Liverpool FC, Billy Hogan, added: “We are delighted to be renewing our partnership with 188BET for a third term. We’ve had great success over the last five years, continually adding value to our working relationship. 188BET will service fans in two of football’s biggest markets, Brazil and Asia where we have a combined total of over 340 million followers”.
The move comes just days after the end of the 2013/14 Premier League season, which saw Brendan Rodger’s charges narrowly miss out on their first league title since 1990. However, the Merseysiders will be boosted by a Champions League return, having failed to qualify for Europe’s elite club competition for four consecutive campaigns. They end their season against Airtricity League hopefuls Shamrock Rovers later today, in a friendly at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin
