Sports betting and casino services provider Cantor Gaming has announced that it has re-branded to CG Technology, with the view to seek an initial public offering in the near future. A Company statement commented that the new identity reflects its position as a technology firm offering mobile casino gaming and race and sports book products and services to its clients.
The re-brand of Cantor Gaming to CG Technology were strategically undertaken with the companies future plans and interests at hand. Previously CG Technology had served as a subsidiary technology brand of Cantor Gaming, offering gaming services to Cantor Gaming and clients via new technology verticals.
CG Technology had been in operations in Las Vegas since 2009, and had seen its business double in the last two years, CG Technology estimates that it now provides 30% of Nevada based sports betting wagering. Additional CG Technology currently operates eight race and sports books and a poker room in Southern Nevada, is an affiliate of New York-based financial services firm Cantor Fitzgerald L.P.
Lee Amaitis, president and CEO of CG Technology, was unavailable for comment Monday. The company also did not release a date for its IPO.
The re-brand will see the convergence of Cantor Gaming divisions combined into one as – CG Technology.
The bookmaker also built and leased its technology to the race and sports book at The Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas. CG Technology also provides online casino and sports book content to Bally Technologies and recently opened the Cantor Club in Tianjin, China.
