Gloucester Rugby have agreed a partnership with The Betting Service (TBS).The English rugby union club will use TBS’ ‘MyClubBetting’ service to launch a bespoke club gaming website, which will be fully branded and integrated into Gloucester’s existing online and social media platforms. A significant portion of all profits earned from money staked on the site will go into club development.
Mike Turner, the Gloucester Rugby commercial manager, said: “We’ve spoken to a number of potential betting partners, and are pleased to announce the relationship with The Betting Service through the MyClubBetting.com brand. We believe it’s a great solution for supporters who like to bet online and the beauty of it is that the club receives a percentage of the profits, which we can reinvest into our club and community projects.”
TBS chief executive Marcus Barnett added: “TBS, through the brand MyClubBetting.com, promotes both professional and grassroots sport by facilitating any club to generate a revenue stream at zero cost to the club. We are proud to become Gloucester Rugby’s official betting partner. The Cherry and Whites are synonymous with excellence and it is great that they are the first rugby union club to take advantage of our service, so dovetailing with such a dynamic and forward-thinking club makes perfect sense for us.”
Gloucester are currently ninth in the top-flight Aviva Premiership table with 11 games played in the 2013/14 season.
