Freebets.com Sponsor Cheltenham Festival Handicap

freebetsLeading sports betting affiliate site www.freebets.com will sponsor the 2m 5f Handicap Chase on Festival Trials Day at Cheltenham Racecourse.The £50,000 race, which will take place on Saturday 25th January 2014, will now be known as the Freebets.comTrophy Steeplechase following the completion of a new three-year deal.

Freebets.com will also be the Official Free Bets partner of Cheltenham Racecourse for the three-year duration of the agreement, and feature prominently throughout the Cheltenham Racecourse website – www.cheltenham.co.uk.

Festival Trials Day features the final preparations for many leading Cheltenham Festival stars.

Venetia Williams’ Katenko shook up the betting for the Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup on the back of winning the race in 2013, before succumbing to injury.

 

Four subsequent Festival winners in Rajdhani Express, The New One, Sprinter Sacre and At Fishers Cross, also had their final start prior to The Festival at the meeting.

The partnership represents the first major racing sponsorship for owner David Archer, who said: I have been going to Cheltenham for around 30 years now so I am delighted to sponsor such a valuable and important race on Festival Trials Day.”

Freebets.com, which also features odds comparison and live streaming of European football, was launched in 2009 and hosts free bet offers from the world’s leading bookmakers.

The website was recently upgraded to a responsive design aimed at providing the best viewing experience across all devices.

Archer was joint owner and managing director of North East bookmaking chain Reuben Page for almost two decades, before selling most of the business to Gala Coral.He then founded Pagebet, building up and managing a chain of over 50 betting shops, as well as a telephone betting service and online site.After establishing the affiliate business Biggerbet four years ago he has developed a portfolio of leading websites including www.freebets.com and www.onlinecasinobonus.co.uk
