After 18 years service to Lottomatica and Gtech G2 – William Scott current Vice President of igaming software provider GTech G2 is stepping down from his role. William Scott joined Lottomatica in 1995, GTech G2 recently re-branded Spielo G2 have yet to announce Mr Scotts replacement, industry news source EGR magazine commented that Scott had stepped down from his post on 15 June.
It is understood that Spielo G2 are undergoing broad company restructuring as it looks to streamline its commercial operations and increase focus on the US online market. Scott’s responsibilities had been reduced by the changes in focus and operations that limited his role to a handful of European jurisdictions.
Scott was influential into GTECH Corporations move into the igaming markets, being a key figure in the acquisitions of Boss Media Poker & Casino operations, St Minver white label bingo and games services and Finsoft sports betting technologies acquired by GTECH Corporation for the creation of GTECH G2 igaming industry services in the period of 2007/08.
GTech G2 have been undergoing operational changes since new CEO Walter Bugno took charge of igaming operations in late 2011, re-branding itself to Spielo G2. The company supplies igaming software services to both igaming operators such as Sportingbet, Betfred and regional betting and gaming licensed government operations such as Dansk Spill and Cirsa (Spain)
During William Scott’s 18 years at the company, GTECH G2 won numerous industry awards including lottery software provider of the year at this year’s eGaming Review B2B awards. The company picked up the same prize the previous year along with the bingo supplier of the year award.
