After 15 years service to its operations, Rainer Jacken mybet founder and ex chairman is set to leave the company next month. Rainer Jacken announced to the Management and Supervisory Board of mybet Holding SE that he will prematurely surrender office on the Supervisory Board with effect from the close of the Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of mybet SE on July 18, 2013.
Rainer Jacken founded Kiel Advertising in 1986 which was to evolve into German bookmaker and lottery operator mybet/Jaxx. Jacken was instrumental in reforming mybet operations to focus on online gaming wagering, turning mybet.com into one of Germanys first online gaming operators. Due to his extensive knowledge of the market, Jacken is considered one of Germany’s key igaming figures.
As well as being the ‘father’ of mybet, Rainer Jacken is one of the pioneers of online gambling in Germany. We thank him for his unwavering commitment and the energy that he has put into mybet and online gaming,’ commented Antje Stoltenberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of mybet Holding SE. ‘We will maintain our association with him as both a partner and a friend, and wish him every success in his new venture.’
Commenting on his decision to step down from the board “In recent months my personal and professional paths have taken a different direction, which I would now like to pursue concertedly.” Jacken also commented “I will be maintaining my association with mybet,”
Rainer Jacken had been a member of the company’s Management Board since its establishment in December 1998. in 2009, the Shareholders’ Meeting elected Rainer Jacken as a new member of the Supervisory Board. Jacken is to move away from his position next month, currently the mybet board are studying his replacement for the upcoming Shareholder Meeting set for July 18th 2013.
