Betfair sign Sponsorship of Tasmania racing carnival

BeSkybettfair Betting exchange Australian operations have signed a three-year deal to serve as betting partner for the Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival , one of the most popular and watched Australian horse racing festivals. The Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival takes place in the Australian summer months  of January and February. The horse racing event will be re-branded to the ‘Betfair Tasmanian Summer Racing Carnival’, additionally two race cups will also be attached with the Betfair name – Hobart Cup and Launceston Cup  race events.

The announced new partnership concludes a 12-year relationship with the Tasmanian summer carnival by previous naming rights sponsor AAMI.  This partnership also sees the continued expansion of Betfair operations in the Australian market.  Betfair Australia was granted a Tasmanian Gaming License in 2006 , the betting exchange  is a major Tasmanian employer with more than 110 staff based at its state-of-the-art headquarters at Dowsing Point Technopark in Hobart.
