Betfred joins Spotlight in-play content ranks

Spotlight Sports Group continues its strong 2020 commercial momentum confirming that Betfred has become the latest client of its in-play content services, which have launched across the heritage bookmaker’s digital verticals.

Betfred’s online sportsbook and mobile app will now feature Spotlight exclusive content and analysis backed by live stats, helping Betfred drive engagement with in-play betting markets.

Integrating Spotlight’s content API feed, Betfred secures additional editorial experts, historic match data and live on-field event descriptions proven market engagement tools to drive turnover and betting volumes across markets.  

Stuart Grant, Betfred’s Digital Sportsbook lead, marked Spotlight sports content as a key integration for 2020 and beyond. 

“We’ve always firmly believed content on site is one of the key ways to drive engagement and improve our customer experience,” Grant stated. 

“Working with Spotlight Sports Group over the years has seen us add Racing Post horseracing content and Racing Post Sport content and we are delighted to expand that to in-play. This product is like nothing else on the market and our customers are in for a treat.”

Betfred becomes the latest bookmaker to launch Spotlight content services across its digital channels, joining mobile sportsbook Kwiff and Gibraltar operator MansionBet in 2020.   

New bookmaker tools and innovations had been highlighted as a key objective of Spotlight recent enlargement and transformation in which the group merged its assets of Racing Post B2B  (publishing), Apsley (affiliate marketing), ICS ( betting translation services) and ANZ Bloodstock (bloodstock publisher).
