Energy Partners’ Norbert Varga assesses his firm’s affiliate impact

The affiliate space is becoming increasingly saturated, despite the microscope under which firms are finding themselves operating.

Energy Partners are one such entity encompassing this space, thriving to the point that they were recently awarded Best Affiliate Partner Scheme at the SBC Awards 2017.

Norbert Varga, Head of Affiliates at the firm, has been discussing the accolade, the current affiliate space and what stands Energy Partners out from the crowd.

SBC: Congratulations on being awarded Best Affiliate Partner Scheme at the 2017 SBC Awards, what does this accolade mean?

Norbert Varga: Thank you! Winning the Best Affiliate Partner Scheme award means a lot to us, as it shows that our hard work and contribution to the industry has been recognised by our peers.

We very much appreciate everyone who evaluated our work and hope that this is just the start for us. To be standing tall among such large, well-known companies is a real achievement for us.

SBC: Could you offer an insight into some of the key accomplishments of Energy Partners this last year?

NV: Over the year we have retexturized entire departments, and formed a strong team of affiliate managers who have been dedicated to developing close, productive relationships with our partners.

In fact, everyone across Energy has been working hard to support the affiliate department, so that we can give our partners the very best product, tools, material and information.

A major milestone was the introduction of our sportsbook affiliate program, without separating revenue streams for partners. This was very well received by our client base, as were the efforts of our CRM team to re-target casino players with sportsbook offers.

SBC: In the current market what is the importance of affiliates? And why does this offering stand out from the crowd?

NV: Our affiliates have always been our priority and main source of traffic. For example, going that ‘extra mile,’ by doing things like not separating casino and sportsbook revenue, and re-targeting casino players with sportsbook offers, really helped our affiliates to start earning from our sportsbook product immediately, even if they were not specifically targeting sports traffic.

Considering we are a relatively new affiliate program, the extensive range of marketing materials and tools we offer our partners, and the custom campaigns and promotions we create, really stand out from the crowd in terms of their exceptionally high conversion rates.

SBC: How will you continue to grow the relatively young program in 2018?

NV: As we move forward into 2018, we are committed to continuing to strengthen existing partnerships, and establishing new relationships. We will be rolling out our innovative ‘Level Up’ system to our sportsbook offering, to help affiliates run custom bonuses and promotions.

Of course, we will also be targeting new markets and aiming to release even more localised marketing materials, to help our partners continue to build their success.

At the SBC Awards 2017, held at the HAC Artillery Garden in London, Energy Partners won the award for Best Affiliate Partner Scheme, which you can see in the video below.
