Content and systems developer Betdigital has been awarded its Remote Gambling Software Operating Licence by the UK Gambling Commission. Betdigital joins a select few suppliers that have the necessary licensing to meet the terms of the new Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act ahead of October’s introduction.
The Act demands operators who provide remote gambling services to British consumers to acquire a UK licence. These operators in turn will require their suppliers to be licensed in the UK from January 2015.
Content is created in-house and the portfolio is deployed by all major platform operators around the world, including William Hill, Ladbrokes and Gala Coral. Some of the stand-out offerings are Super Pots Bar-X, Shamrock Surprise, Royal Gems and City of Gold.
Earlier in the year Betdigital was approved for a Core Service Provider Associates Certificate by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.
“Gaining our Remote Gambling Software Operating Licence means customers can continue to enjoy our content in line with the Gambling Commission’s regulations,” said Heath Samples, Betdigital CEO. “As market leaders it’s important to stay ahead of the curve in such a fast-paced and expanding industry.”
