bet365 has established itself as the king of high odds on over/under and Asian handicap betting as bettingexpert tipsters racked up over 490 winning tips on the Europa League last night.
23.5 per cent of tipsters using Asian Handicaps preferred bet365 last night, with 888sport a close second and Marathonbet in third.
However handicap betting was only half as popular as the Over/Under markets (14% of tips compared to 27%) which itself was followed by 3 way-betting (25%).
The most popular game last night was the match between Jablonec vs Ajax Amsterdam (7.5% of all tips were on that match. This was prompted by the perceived value in the odds on Ajax to win, the highest of which was 3.1 at bet365. Many tipsters also opted for the safer bet with an Ajax Amsterdam Draw No Bet, and that was a good idea since the match ended goalless.
Meanwhile Serbian tipster Lazar Reković manage to generate a yield of 67% spread out on 15 different Europa League bets, including an accurate tip on FC Midtjylland to win with exactly one goal over Southampton.
Bettingexpert’s Gavin Moore commented: “It was a tough day for some tipsters yesterday, but in the matches between Borussia Dortmund vs Odd Ballklubb along with Fenerbahce vs Atromitos generated profit overall. It was a good day for tipsters who bet on the Dortmund vs Odd Ballklubb match, as they achieved an overall strike-rate of 66% with bets such as Dortmund to win with a -2.5 Asian handicap, along with over 4.5 goals in the match, or both teams to score. The punters must have been happy as Dortmund already were leading by 6-1 at the 57th minute.”
