90Digital founder launches bitcoin casino

Oshi_GuyNick Garner, founder of 90Digital has announced the launch of a new online casino. Oshi! is a Bitcoin specific operator, with a strong emphasis on the fun element that casino entertainment brings to its players.

Oshi! is backed by industry supplier SoftSwiss and will offer over 1,000 games including all the famous brands.

“Having been in the iGaming sector for 10 years, I can see the huge appeal for gambling using Bitcoins,” Garner commented. “We believe there is an opportunity to build a great gambling experience around fun, constant innovation, along with the freedom and privacy that Bitcoin gives users.”

Oshi’s focus will be on innovation and entertainment and the aim is to bring a real sense of anticipation and trust to those who sign up. A 2,000 mBTC welcome bonus is on offer but existing account holders will continue to be rewarded for playing at the casino with free spins and other ongoing promos.

Garner explained: “The Oshi brand concept is deliberately not ‘Las Vegas’. The brand inspiration comes from organisations like Netflix, Amazon and Steam. Of course, users are here to win money and the site reflects that, but we believe online casino can look and feel different.”

Garner claims that the long-term goal for Oshi will be product first, marketing second, with the ‘vast majority’ of revenues channelled back into accelerated development of new gaming experiences.

Oshi’s Chief Technical Officer Tom Finlayson said: “We have a full product development roadmap, which will be shared with the Bitcoin gambling community. I’m excited to see how the community will react and contribute towards helping steer Oshi towards being the most user-friendly Bitcoin casino on the Internet.

“With a range of benefits such as these, Oshi is targeting both recreational and serious members of the gambling community. It’s a virtual place to go and have fun but there are big jackpots and prize pots to aim for at the same time. Oshi will be taking a long-term approach to customer retention with a really strong focus on community engagement and customer services.”

Licensed in Curaçao, Oshi will take a ‘conservative approach’ to accepting customers from contentious jurisdictions. The site is currently in ‘alpha’ and has recently been accepting ‘early adopter’ customers. Over the next two months the site will be improving user experience as more features from their development queue go live.
