French licensed sports betting operator PMU has confirmed a four year extension of its existing sponsorship of French football Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint Germain ( PSG).
PMU renewed partnership terms with the Parisian football club, extending its sponsorship which began in 2011. PMU management confirmed that it was happy with new sponsorship terms which would see the PMU brand gain further coverage on PSG online and social media channels. Furthermore the PMU brand will also gain visibility through sponsorship of the PSG handball and women’s football teams.
PSG are amongst French footballs most popular teams. The Paris football club have secured its second consecutive championship title, winning the 2013/2014 Ligue 1 by a club record 89 points.
Philippe Germond, chief executive of PMU, said: “These results are the fruit of a genuine requirement of performance and excellence. Paris Saint-Germain has the means to achieve its objectives and develops the projected ambitions of PMU.”
