Tough Summer Sees Revenue Fall For Rank Group

rankplciGaming Operator Rank Group Plc has announced ‘disappointing performance’ in revenue for Q3 of 2013. Like for like revenue has decreased by 7% in the 15 weeks through to October 2013.

Rank Group has cited the hot British summer and the lack of a major international football schedule as the reasons for the decline in sales and revenues that has effected its sports betting brands. Furthermore Rank Group has noted a lower revenue in its offline casinos and a disappointing performance in Mecca Venues and its digital bingo and casino offering.

Management at Rank Plc has announced that it will investigate all aspects of company performance, focusing on revenues and where the operator can cut costs, as the company looks to recapture performance in the coming months. The impact of these actions is expected to commence in the second half of the financial year,read a company statement.

Rank have recently added the an additional 19 casinos gained from the acquisition of Coral uk ‘Gala Casino’ services.

Senior Management has announced to the city that company revenues will be below expectations.
