Sky Bet wins Glassdoor Employees Choice Award

Sky Betting & Gaming (Sky Bet) has been recognised as one of the UK’s ‘best places to work’, having been awarded the GlassdoorEmployees Choice Award’.

Maintaining its fifth straight year on Glassdoor’s top-50 workplace index – Sky Bet ranked as the UK’s 29th best employer, based on the feedback of current and former employees anonymously rating businesses via Glassdoor’s platform.

Previous Glassdoor indexes have seen Sky Bet ranked 17th (2018), 6th (2019), 11th (2021), and 29th place this year, in 2022, as the best place to work

Further highlights saw Sky Bet Chief Executive Steve Birch receive an employee approval rating of 97%, placing him amongst the UK’s top-50 most popular CEOs.

Sky Bet’s growth has seen Flutter Entertainment commit to spending £15 million on a new technology and innovation hub in the betting firm’s hometown of Leeds.

The new 136,000 square foot centre will house 1,700 workers and be open to all staff across Sky Bet’s UK and international divisions.

Amanda Bellwood, Director of People and Culture said, “I couldn’t be more proud of SBG for being placed in the Glassdoor list once again! We say it often, but it really is true – the hard work, commitment and contributions from colleagues is fundamental to our success. So this award it not just a reflection on SBG, but our people too.”
