bwin steps up as Valencia CF centenary sponsor

GVC Holdings European sportsbook property bwin will act as principal sponsor of Spanish football club Valencia CF, as the club celebrates its centenary year for the upcoming La Liga 2019/2020 season.

Securing a three season shirt sponsorship arrangement with ‘Los Ches’, bwin marketing upgrades its sponsorship with the La Liga club, having previously served as Valencia CF’s ‘official gaming and betting partner’.

Spanish football news sources report that bwin marketing had moved to become Valencia centenary sponsor, as US smartphone manufacturer BLU chose not to activate its final season sponsorship arrangement.

This afternoon, Valencia President Anil Murthy accompanied by Marcus Silva Managing Director of Bwin Spain & LATAM confirmed the bookmaker’s position as ‘Main Global Partner’.

In addition to serving as Valencia Shirt Sponsor, Murthy confirmed that the bwin brand would secure the highest visibility across the club’s Mestalla Stadium (capacity 55,000) and training ground facilities.

Valencia CF management would publish the following communication in relation to bwin’s ‘centenary commitment’

“bwin is a leader in its sector, renowned for its technological innovation, transparency and dynamism. Valencia CF shares these virtues and are convinced that strengthening this alliance will be something tremendously beneficial for both parties, we hope to make history together. “
