Seeking to boost its profile in the recently regulated Portuguese online gambling market, French bookmaker Betclic (Betclic Everest Group) has announced that it has entered a betting partnership with Vitória FC.

The bookmaker will become Vitória FC’s ‘Official Betting Partner’ for season 2016/17. Betclic confirms its first football partnership following the granting of its Portuguese online gambling licence in May.

The operator was the first international bookmaker to be granted approval by the ‘Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal’, the country’s gambling regulator.

The Vitória FC’s partnership will see the Betclic brand receive heightened coverage during match days at the Estádio Salvador Venâncio da Costa (capacity – 10,000).

Betclic marketing stated that it was pleased to secure its first Portuguese football partnership, as the operator looks to expand and grow its services outside its core market of France.

Entering the regulated Portuguese market last May, Betclic Everest governance stated that it wanted to quickly establish itself as outright online market leader having gained first move advantage over other international competitors.
