Galician giant Luckia to build €15m digital hub

Grupo EGASA has confirmed that it will invest €15 million to establish a new dedicated office for its Luckia Gaming Group subsidiary.

The plans were disclosed by Galician news sources that outlined EGASA’s ambitions to build a new four-floor digital hub for Luckia, within the group’s hometown of A Coruña.

Founded in 1972, leisure, hospitality and property investment group EGASA is recognised as one of Galicia’s biggest employers, maintaining a workforce of 2,500 employees.

The office will take a reported 26 months to complete and will house “an auditorium for 180 people, a gym, dining room, training rooms and physiotherapy cabins, as part of an initiative to give employees the best flexibility and comfort”.

In 2016, EGASA migrated its entire gambling portfolio (retail and online) under the Luckia Gaming domain, to establish its dedicated gambling business.

Following its reorganisation, Luckia has expanded its presence within Portugal and Croatia as well as the LatAm markets of Chile, Colombia and Peru.

Speaking to local news sources, Enrique Nieto, Director of Luckia’s real estate division said “we are a Coruña business established in the city since our inception and we want our headquarters to continue to be our home province of Galicia”.
